Customer Service Administrator

We are looking for a Customer Service Administrator to join us on a full time temporary contract.

The Primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Provide primary ‘front-service’ support for all methods of inbound communications and enquiries, i.e. phone, email, and ensuring full and accurate customer record management notes are entered into the central database system
  • Conduct all Pre-Assessment administration, e.g.sending of booking confirmation emails, chasing student documents, sending appointment reminders, sending relevant pre-assessment information to assessors, and uploading all pre-assessment documents to records and general enquiries
  • Book DSA Assessments, in accordance with resource availability and effective deployment
  • Conduct all Post Assessment administration, e.g. sending of needs assessment reports, retrieving and uploading all post assessment documents to records and effective query management
  • Responsible for effective and successful full query management (see below point)
  • To be first point of contact for all Queries; to provide confirmation of receipt of query, entering details into record; to take necessary action to provide answer/solution (predominantly through liaising with Assessors) and communicate with the customer
  • Monitor all Pre and Post Assessment cases/records within the system to ensure they move through the delivery stages efficiently, and chase work when needed
  • Ensure the accurate and completion of customer records on the central database system
  • Retrieving, uploading and sharing relevant Pre-Assessment customer documents
  • Support the whole DSA needs assessment administration process in accordance with External Auditor guidelines, KPIs and the company’s service standards and agreements
  • Prioritise workload to ensure full cover of inbound communications and planned work is completed along with day to day requirements

Facility responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the clearing of all refuse and recycling
  • Responsible for ensuring the central administration office and assessment refreshment facilities are kept clean and tidy
  • Responsible for the collection and distribution of incoming post, and the dispatching of outbound post
  • Responsible for acting as point of reception and greeting to visitors at the central administration office

Contract end date: March 31st 2022

Experience Required:

  • Relevant experience in customer service/administrative support roles
  • Proven knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
  • A good level of English spelling and grammar
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Relevant experience working with customer record systems and data entry duties
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and demanding working environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal

QA Officer

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to work with us on a part-time/contract basis.

The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Quality Assurance of DSA Needs Assessments Reports
  • Providing quality and constructive feedback to Needs Assessors
  • Working to set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Experience Required:

  • Ongoing CPD in the area of disability, Assistive Technology and able to evidence this for ongoing audit purposes
  • A broad knowledge of disability, and its impact within an academic setting
  • Experience of conducting assessments in a DSA or similar environment
  • Understanding DSA Guidelines for Student Finance England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Student Awards Agency Scotland, and ensuring reports are written in accordance with this
  • The ability to provide constructive and quality feedback that identify potential missing support strategies
  • An attention to detail, and the ability to produce professional high quality work

DSA Assessor - Nationwide


We are looking for experienced DSA Assessors for various locations across the United Kingdom:

The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Conducting Disability Student Allowance (DSA) Assessments to individuals within Access2Learn’s DSA Centre(s), the student’s home, or over the telephone.
  • Identifying specialist aids/equipment/NMH Support/Assistive Technology and training requirements
  • Writing a professional, detailed, and clear report suitable for various audiences
  • Understanding and adhering to DSA Guidelines and Frameworks
  • Working to set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Completing ongoing CPD in the area of disability, DSA and Assistive Technology and able to evidence this for ongoing audit purposes.
