Literacy Tutoring

Literacy tutoring provides personalised support for learners who find reading, writing, spelling, comprehension or written organisation challenging.

Rather than using a one size-fits-all approach, tutoring is adapted to the learner’s processing style, strengths and goals, helping them make progress in a way that feels accessible and confidence building.

  • Develops core literacy skills such as reading fluency, spelling, comprehension, writing structure and confidence with written tasks.
  • Adapts to individual learning styles, helping learners engage with information in ways that work for them.
  • Builds independence by giving learners practical strategies they can use beyond tutoring sessions.
  • Supports confidence by focusing on achievable progress, strengths and positive reinforcement.

At Access2Learn, we understand literacy within the wider context of neurodiversity. This means support can be aligned with assessment findings, assistive technology, and broader learning strategies where appropriate.

Our specialist tutors are professional members of the Dyslexia Guild and the British Dyslexia Association.
