This checklist is designed to help you reflect on whether you may have indicators of dyslexia, and whether a full diagnostic assessment could be beneficial. It takes about 5 minutes and is completely free to use.
This tool combines reflective self-report questions adapted from the checklist created by Smythe & Everatt (2001), and incorporates current understanding from the Delphi Consensus Definition of Dyslexia (Carroll et al., 2025). It captures both potential challenges and strengths often associated with dyslexia.
Please note:
This is not a diagnostic tool and cannot confirm dyslexia. It is intended to raise awareness of patterns and features that may suggest the need for a full diagnostic assessment by a qualified professional.
